Last week, a judge in Ridgewood, NJ determined that there was enough evidence to bring about charges of assault and terroristic threats against Joe Gorga, Jacqueline Laurita, and Chris Laurita.
Today, the same judge as the last case, Judge David Pfund, found enough evidence to charge John Karagiorgis with three counts harassment and assault and two counts of making terroristic threats.
At the trial, Jacqueline alleged that John was initially asked not to attend the shop’s opening, but then “showed up anyway with a bodyguard.” Once the shop was crowded, Jacqueline alleges that John “lunged towards me, and I heard him yelling, ‘I’ll [expletive] kill you.’…[he] had a crazy look in his eyes, like he was on drugs or something.”
Jacqueline also said in court that he pushed her down, though she admitted it could have been the result of security coming to stop the situation from escalating.
Allegedly Karagiorgis was removed from the situation, but soon returned. Jacqueline said that “He went right at me, and had this look on his face that was dazed and crazed.”
Later in the hearing, Joe Gorga and Chris Laurita testified that Karagiorgis had been harassing and threatening them for years.
Although John denies it, Jacqueline did state that he made harassing comments about family including her autistic son, Nicholas.
It will be interesting as this story progresses because there are charges now brought upon all four individuals involved. More on this as it develops.
