We are currently seeking entry-level bakers to join our team of talented and experienced bakers. This future Carlo’s Baker must have a minimum of 2 years experience in the same environment. Working knowledge of fondant and specialized finishes is a plus.
•Prepare pastries and baked goods according to recipes and standards.
•Check production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake.
•Observe products while cooking and adjust controls.
•Mix icings and other toppings and decorate cakes, pastries, and other baked goods.
•Must be able to prioritize and plan production to maximize efficiency.
•Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in compliance with all local and state health codes.
•Prepare all items according to set standards.
•Culinary degree or certification highly preferred.
•Two-Three years of previous baking experience
•Knowledge with commercial mixing machines, oven and other large scale baking equipment is a plus
•Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
•Exhibit good working knowledge of meeting or exceeding budgeting labor/food cost.
•Prepare and present bakery products and merchandise in an attractive fashion in order to promote sales
Must be okay with traveling to our Bakery in Hoboken for training purposes.
