Email Leak Suggests Housewives of Orange County Staged?

An email has leaked from a producer on the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Orange County to Tamra Barney’s ex-husband, Simon Barney. 

The email- which is in it’s entirety on Radar Online- claims,

“Hi Simon,

soooo sorry it’s taken me so long to write back. As you can imagine, things have been absolutely slammed. I know we spoke about the camera crew at the house the day Sophia had her party and yes, it turns out there are some shots of the kids in the background…even though the crew was instructed to not film them. We’re to going to use any footage of the kids from that day though. 

Let me know if you’ve changed changed your mind about filming the scene we spoke about- going to get ice cream with the kids and then handing them over to Tamra- and if you’re up for it, we can take it from there. 

I should be clear that we wouldn’t be able to give you any editorial approval over the footage though. Just want to make sure we’re on the same page on that.

Radar is claiming this suggests that the show is staged. We’re not sure we agree, as it’s well known that situations are set up, and that doesn’t make it fake as much as pre-conceived. While there is a direct line about that “scene we discussed” they could have just discussed having Simon and Tamra film a scene together. Let us know what you think!
