Opinion: Why I Don’t Believe RHONJ Has A New Episode Tonight
To be honest, it didn’t initially strike me as odd that the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” didn’t have a new episode tonight. I swore that it was due to the Labor Day weekend, and didn’t give it a second thought. While stuck in the hospital, though, I’ve had more time than ever to watch Bravo and started to notice some interesting things making me start to think the lack of a new episode wasn’t just a coincidence. What am I thinking?
First, here are the things I noticed on Bravo:
– “Don’t Be Tardy” has a new episode tonight at 9 PM
– “Game of Crowns” has a new episode tonight at 10 PM
– “Real Housewives of OC” has their second reunion episode tomorrow evening (which is a new episode)
This made me start to question why if every other Bravo show was still having a new episode, why wasn’t New Jersey? It couldn’t possibly just be Labor Day, then. So what is it, then?
We all know that RHONJ has been having some ratings issues/ There have been rumors flying around that Bravo is re-filming scenes and adding back old cast members in an effort to boost ratings. While I can t specifically confirm anything, I tend to believe these rumors now more than ever. By pushing off the show for a week, this buys Bravo time to re-edit and work in these scenes and, if necessary, re-film things in order to up the drama and push for higher ratings. In addition, I heard that Bravo did not film the finale episode until AFTER the last episode aired in order to have the ladies good and in the moment. If this is true, they also may be buying additional editing time.
For these reasons, I think Bravo is NOT airing “Real Housewives of New Jersey” tonight. It’s a shame, because I really could use to watch it, especially while bed-ridden.
Hope you’re all having a good Labor Day weekend.

You may be on to something. The show is in shambles and I don’t even know if it can be salvaged at this point. On one hand you have Jim M’s constant tweeting and retweeting of negative information about other cast members and so-called production “secrets”. Even during the heyday of the “Bash Teresa” fiasco, the inter-cast tweeting never sunk that low.
Add to that the Gotti revelation, which never should have been aired, period. If it’s true, the family has worked past it, and did not deserve that, especially when there are children involved who may not have known – for that matter, other adult family members may not have known. In deciding to go with that story arc, Bravo/Sirens sunk to a new low – and I didn’t think that was possible.
Then you have the Guidice situation which is up in the air in terms of future seasons. Melissa Gorga will be the “senior” cast member if Teresa has to leave. Melissa and Joe Gorga cannot carry the show. The Marcheses are a joke and thanks to Jim, will probably not see another season. Dina has not added that much, and my personal jury is still out on the twins. Bringing Jacqueline back will not help.
I think it’s time to stick the proverbial fork in RJONJ. It’s done.
The show is in shambles because editing took everything out of order, look at scenes, snow, no snow. The twins outside Marches house, no snow? The party at Marchese had snow and so did Booby’s make believe first res ponders party. They tried to manufacturer timelines and drama. Should have just let the show flow, but now they are stuck with mess they created.
