Amber Marchese- Hearing The Word Inconclusive Brought Me Back

Real Housewife of New Jersey Amber Marchese has extensively discussed her cancer that she previously had. This week, we saw her find out some new testing results were inconclusive. For someone who previously had cancer, we can only imagine how scary this would be. Amber took to her blog to address this. 

She wrote, “Hearing the word, “inconclusive” brought me right back to when I was first diagnosed. I remember the day like it was yesterday. I had just put my 6-month-old and 18-month-old down for a nap, the older guys were in school. My doctor called and I was alone. He told me to sit down and then relayed to me that I had invasive carcinoma. At that point, he did not know what stage, but I would be doing many tests and surgeries over the next couple days to determine the full diagnosis. I remember feeling like I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t see, I just dropped to the floor in fetal position and screamed, however, the sound never actually came out. I called my husband who was in a meeting; I remember screaming to him that I have cancer. His office is twenty minutes away, but I swear he got home before I could even hang up the phone. He held me that day and told me it would be OK, that I was not going to die.”

While we cannot imagine going through something like this, we hope that Amber continues to stay healthy.
