Real Housewife of New Jersey Dina Manzo tweeted the above today. It does seem to us that people like the fighting, but did the ratings actually improve with this week’s fight? Or has something else contributed to the season’s highest ratings?

The ratings for Real Housewives of New Jersey have been overly dismal this year, but two weeks ago they began to improve. Why?

While there was SOME drama in that episode, it had already been announced by Bravo that Jacqueline Laurita and Kathy Wakile would be returning in their mid-season trailer. This seemed to bring back some of the old fans who enjoy watching Jacqueline on the show.

Then, when Jacqueline and Kathy came back the following week, the show had a HUGE boost in ratings, gaining an additional 200,000 viewers.

This week- the week of the fight- the show actually DROPPED 100,000 viewers. To us, this seems to show that while some viewers like the fighting, the MAJORITY of the viewers like seeing two familiar faces in Kathy and Jacqueline.

Jacqueline had not appeared earlier this season and Kathy appeared minimally. Now with Kathy getting more screen time and Jacqueline back as well, It seems they are huge draws for the show, and that, if Bravo wants to boost next season’s ratings, they should strongly consider bringing them back as full time cast members.

Don’t believe us? It seems some twitter followers agree as well, as they tweeted:

What do you think? Do you agree with Dina’s logic or do you think it’s Jacqueline and Kathy? Let us know.
