Gretchen and Slade BOTH Underwent Operations To Have Kids

A new article has run in OK! Magazine this week, detailing the struggle former Real Housewife of Orange County Gretchen Rossi and finance Slade Smiley have had in trying to have children. The latest information details operations both underwent in the process. According to the article, Slade underwent an operation for testicular sperm extraction and Gretchen underwent one for egg retrieval. While the doctors were able to fertilize more embryos than they would have been able to in standard In Vitro Fertilization, unfortunately none of the fertilized embryos survived to be put into Gretchen’s body.

Gretchen tells OK that “I was devastated. You feel this huge sense of loss. It’s heartbreaking to watch your partner go through that.”

This is NOT going to stop them, though. Gretchen says, “I need to regroup, feel strong and mentally prepare to do this (again).”

We wish them the BEST of luck in this endeavor and are crossing our fingers they have children soon!
