Melissa Rivers Suing Clinic Where Mother Joan Rivers Died
It was terribly sad back during the summer when Joan Rivers passed away. Now her daughter, Melissa Rivers, has filed a lawsuit against Yorkville Endoscopy where the fatal procedure took place. What did she say exactly?
According to Zap2It, Rivers is accusing the clinic “of gross malpractice due to their failure to perform a tracheotomy on her late mother during the 20 minutes they were trying to bring her back to life.”
Melissa stated in the lawsuit that “the level of medical mismanagement, incompetency, disrespect and outrageous behavior is shocking and frankly, almost incomprehensible. Not only did my mother deserve better, every patient deserves better.”
Melissa is also suing Joan’s personal doctor, Gwen Korvin, alleging that he jumped into the unplanned biopsy saying “I’ll go first” and that he shouldn’t have been permitted in the room.
In addition, Melissa is also suing her mother’s personal doctor, Gwen Korovin. The documents state Korovin shouldn’t have been permitted in the room where the unplanned biopsy was being performed, but jumped in and announced, “I’ll go first.”
At the time of her passing, many celebrities, including Housewives from Orange County, Beverly Hills, New York, New Jersey, and Atlanta expressed their sadness. She was also supposedly in the midst of creating a show with Andy Cohen, possibly a show where she was a Housewives judge.
We hope that some sort of justice can be found to make up for the loss of such a comedic legend. Don’t you?
