Andy Cohen- We Are Not ‘Your Gays’!
As you know, we are all for television that advances how gays look, recently explaining our thoughts on how HBO’s Looking is advancing gay television. Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen explained on his show how he doesn’t feel that something The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are doing is helping out gay culture, though.
What specifically did he say?
Cohen specifically called out the ladies of Beverly Hills referring to gay men as “my gays.”
He took time to publicly respond to this, stating that, “Even though some of your friends might be gay which is great, they are not yours. You do not own them. We are not cattle. We are not purses. And the next time you feel like saying my gays, replace it with my blacks, and see how that turns out. I will say we are good at reading, so consider yourselves read. We love you.”
We wholeheartedly agree with him. We are human beings, equal to “our straights,” and deserve to be treated that way. We applaud him for bringing attention to this.
What do you think about what he said? Let us know!

Fashion Queens: Andy Cohen was in “The Reading Room! 🙂
Yes Andy you are so right, see this a lot with the housewives franchises. Did Kyle and Lisa R apologize ? I really hope so
Tracy they both did. On Twitter 😀 Lesson learned hopefully.
I was so happy someone said something. That just grates on my nerves when I hear that. My friends who are gay are…my friends. Not “My gays” who the hell started that?? They need to be bitch slapped. i don’t walk around saying “My hetros” FFS. Good on ya Andy.
