Grammys Tonight- Here are Our Winner Predictions!
The Grammys are tonight! We have predicted who we think will win the four biggest categories below!
For each category, we have listed the nominees and then, at the end, explained who we think will win and why.
RECORD OF THE YEAR:
Fancy by Iggy Azalea featuring Charli XCX
Chandelier by Sia
Stay With Me (Darkchild Version) by Sam Smith
Shake It Off by Taylor Swift
All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor
Predicted Winner: This is a VERY hard category to select one winner from, as all five of these songs were huge this year. If we had to guess, we would say this award will go to Sam Smith, as he has made a huge splash on the music scene this year. If he doesn’t win, our next bet is that the award would go to Taylor Swift, as her complete reinvention on her album 1989 was huge in the music world last year.
ALBUM OF THE YEAR:
Morning Phase by Beck
Beyonce by Beyonce
X by Ed Sheeran
In The Lonely Hour by Sam Smith
Girl by Pharrell Williams
Predicted Winner: Byfar, we think this award should and will go to Beyonce. From the unexpected launch of the record, to the brilliantly mature and enticing content, to the videos with each song, and to the unique blending of songs, this was an album that immediately demanded attention- and for all the right reasons. We already knew Beyonce was a star, but this album upped the ante even more.
SONG OF THE YEAR:
All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor
Chandelier by Sia
Shake It Off by Taylor Swift
Stay With Me (Darkchild Version) by Sam Smith
Take Me To Church by Hozier
Predicted Winner: While we would like to see this award go to Hozier, our prediction is that it will go to Sam Smith. See RECORD OF THE YEAR above for our thoughts on him.
BEST NEW ARTIST:
Iggy Azalea
Bastille
Brandy Clark
Haim
Sam Smith
Predicted Winner: 100% confident this will go to Sam Smith. He has made headlines all year long, has a beautiful voice, and had an immediate hit song.
