Kathy Griffin Comedy Tour A Hit!

Last Friday, we got the chance to check out comedian Kathy Griffin when she made a tour stop at New Brunswick, New Jersey’s The State Theatre.

Griffin performed an impressive two hour set that had us on the edge of our seats the entire time. We have always enjoyed her “no holds barred” approach to comedy that is chock-full of “of the moment” celebrity stories.

In this particular evening, we were treated to hysterical stories of Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, the late Joan Rivers, Teresa Giudice, and more!

She also made sure to throw in fan favorites with a hysterical story about her Mother, Maggie Griffin.

In addition to seeing the show, we had the opportunity to go backstage and meet Griffin before her set. She was extremely pleasant backstage, playing Cher music in her green room and telling us that we “came on a good night” because we had “lots to discuss.”

It should be noted that the venue of The State Theatre provided a perfect environment to see Griffin in. It is a decently sized theater which sits ~1,847 people, but it still managed to feel intimate enough for a comedic performance. The staff at their theater is also always extremely friendly and courteous.

If you get the chance to check out Griffin on her tour, we’d highly recommend it. We’d also recommend checking out a show at The State Theatre if you’re in the area. Both experiences are ones you surely will not regret.
