Joni Mitchell Taylor Swift Needs Luck To Sing and Play Me!

We absolutely adore singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell, who rose to fame in the 1960’s and still is highly regarded today.

While she recently released a new box set that is fantastic, she was featured in the news a few months ago for axing the idea of Swift playing her in a movie.

In a new conversation with New York Magazine, Mitchell has gone at Swift again.

“I’ve never heard Taylor’s music,” Mitchell revealed.

Mitchell does think Swift has some similarities to her, though, as she explained, “I’ve seen her. Physically, she looks similarly small hipped and high cheekbones.”

So does that mean she thinks Swift would be a good fit to play her? Not quite.

Mitchell wrapped up with discussing Swift by saying, “I don’t know what her music sounds like, but I do know this — that if she’s going to sing and play me, good luck.”

We agree that Mitchell is one of the most talented and introspective artists of all time; however, we really like Swift as well.

Last year, we reviewed Swift’s 1989, saying that it features depth that most pop music today lacks.
