Albie Manzo- Manzo’d Is More Fun Than RHONJ Exclusive
We’ve seen the Manzo kids grow right before our eyes, and this season was no exception. From seeing Lauren plan her dream wedding to Vito, Chris writing a children’s book, or Albie investing in a cannabis growing company… they have all inspired me to follow my dreams and work hard for what I want, because it’s not always easy. It was an honor to interview one of my idols, Albie Manzo, the oldest of the Manzo kids.
Albie Manzo Manzo’d Is More Fun Than RHONJ Exlusive
Here is a Q&A I did with Albie, where he talks Manzo‘d, Teresa Checks In, and more:
Q: Do you enjoy filming Manzo’d with Children more than RHONJ?
A: “Yeah, I think the big difference with filming this show compared to the other show… is there is no real anxiety. With this show, it’s just fun.”
Q: What’s your favorite moment of yourself and/or family from all the years that you’ve been on TV?
A: There was one when we all traveled to California, where Vito basically mooned Joey Gorga… that was really funny!… The Scottish night on Manzo’d was one of the funniest scenes we’ve ever shot, and you guys only got like 45 seconds of it… To me I think of all the other things that night that were so funny. There are just a lot of really really great moments that I will always love to watch.
Q: Have you or anyone in your family watched, Teresa Checks In or have spoken with the Giudices recently?
A: It’s interesting… I actually had dinner with Joe Giudice like 3 weeks ago… and it was the first time I had seen him in a while. A mutual friend asked us to hang out, and I’ve got no issue with Joe like on a personal level, so I saw he was there and everything was fine.
The big misconception there was… Mom and Teresa were never like so insanely tight. We spent a lot of time with the guys and everybody … but it wasn’t like we were a family… it wasn’t as serious as the Giudices and the Gorgas. So, when it comes to the show, to be honest… I haven’t watched it. It’s kind of like season 6 of Housewives for me, I didn’t watch season 6 of Housewives. I kind of go back into being a guy in my 20’s. If I catch it or If I hear about it, that’s one thing… but it’s not something that I think a lot about. It’s not that I wish that she doesn’t do well… but for whatever reason, it’s something that I’ll catch when I catch. Q: On Manzo’d this season, we see the return of your girlfriend Brittany that your family was not so crazy about at first… but now they seem to be warming up to her. Are you still with her & how is her relationship with your family?
A: It’s something you’ll definitely see play out the remainder of the season. There are a lot of things that happened off camera with the Brittany stuff. My family in general were a lot more supportive of her coming around a second time, because I really made it clear that I wanted a lot of different things in my life to change… There was so much hectic stuff going on when we first started seeing each other, that it was hard for me to get a feel what I was thinking in the relationship. The second time it was a lot more about me. It was very different and I won’t give it away… but what I will say is that right now in my dating life i’m very happy… i’m the happiest i’ve ever been actually.
Q: What is going on with you as far as your career? Do you still own & run Little Town… or are you focusing on other projects?
A: From a career standpoint, I’m the most confident I’ve ever been in my ability to do what I do. I’m involved in a number of different projects that i’m really excited about. I left BLK last year around this time… I left for a variety of reasons, but I think the biggest thing was that i’m still relatively young and I wanted to try and build something for myself. I’m in a position where I’m not married, I don’t have kids, I don’t have a mortgage to pay… so let’s take some business risks. I want to be involved in a lot of different things. I’m a very very very big thinker…. i’m always thinking 2 or 3 years ahead. Opportunity excites me! I think with a lot of vision and I don’t like to put caps on that.
We are still involved with Little Town and Ainsworth, but our focus has shifted a little bit when it comes to the restaurants. Basically what I did was put together my own marketing company where I go in and help small brands grown. No pun intended with the plant stuff.”
A: That was the biggest moment i’ve experienced in our families history, for obvious reasons. I was really proud of Lauren and I was really happy about how everything turned out. Everyone had an awesome time. I was really happy for my Dad because that night is not easy, by any stretch of the means… There are so many things going on at once and so many things that the Brownstone had never done before. It was really fun to be apart of that. I think it’ll be one of the better weddings that have ever been televised… The Church was gorgeous, the way they shot it was gorgeous. A lot of really really cool things were put in play to make it a special event.”
Q: Do you plan to follow in Lauren & Vito’s footsteps and decide to get married & have children in the near future?
A: I don’t put pressure just to get married for the sake of getting married, I’d rather get married to the right person. It really comes down to my situation. I’ve always said that If I have to wait 10 years, or if it happens tomorrow… the second I feel it’s the right thing at the right time, that’s what i’m gonna do… but, I’m in no rush. I think i’ll just make that decision when the timing is right for me and whoever that is.
