Vicki Gunvalson New Boyfriend Used Fake Name In Election
According to various websites including Radar Online, Lodge was sued for changing his name to Steve Chavez Lodge when he ran for city council of Anaheim in 2012.
The documents pertaining to the suit claim that, “Lodge has requested that his name appear on the ballot as ‘Steve Chavez Lodge.’ This is not his legal name. Nor is that the same under which he is registered to vote or the name under which he owns property. Rather, the use of the middle name ‘Chavez’ appears to have been adopted recently for political purposes.”
“Accordingly, Lodge’s proposed use of the name ‘Steve Chavez Lodge’ on the ballot is false and misleading,” the documents added.
Additionally, a background check performed at the time found Lodge’s legal name to be Steven Albert Lodge.
Lodge’s response in the documents was to claim he was born as Steven Albert Chavez, explaining that, “When [he] was 12 his parents divorced and his mother married Robert Lodge. Out of deference to his step father real party integrated the name Lodge into his full name. However, it was never real party’s intention or desire to forsake his heritage and give up Chavez… never legally changed his name to Lodge.”
While the case did end up getting dismissed, something definitely doesn’t seem completely kosher.
