Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Amber Marchesehas had her share of medical issues, as she has battled cancer twice (read about that here). Now, Marchese is facing another battle, as ET has confirmed she has been diagnosed with lyme disease. Read on for details.
Amber Marchese Lyme Disease Diagnosis
Marchese told ET that, “I was officially diagnosed last week.”
“About two weeks ago,” she continued, “I had flu-like symptoms which included a low grade fever, headache, aches, chills, join pain and awful neck pain. I posted my condition on social media and a friend suggested I get tested for Lyme disease. She shared with me her struggles with Lyme disease and we shared many of the same symptoms.”
“I am very fortunate as I caught it so early that no treatment is necessary,” she revealed. “But we are going to monitor it.”
“If I thought about the joint pain, then the pain increased,” she added, revealing how she’s coping with it. “When I ignored it, got my butt to the gym, it went away. I believe in the power of the mind. You are sick if you want to be sick, you are well if you want to be well. That is just the way I choose to live my life.”
Marchese wrapped with saying that, “I feel really blessed that I caught it before it is too late. I know so many people suffering from this disease and it sounds horrific.”
While we are saddened to hear that Marchese has another health issue, we are thrilled she caught it early and that it sounds like she is going to be okay.
