Although many new reality shows are not airing this week due to the Fourth of July, we have about two weeks of reality show ratings to recap!
Reality TV Ratings June 2016 Last Week
Last week’s Shahs of Sunset fell from the previous week’s episode by about 200,000 viewers, though its demographic (.4). Those episodes featured the trip to Central America. Normally the trip episodes are some of the highest rated of a show’s season. That has not been the case with Shahs this season.
In Real Housewives news, RHOD ended with a super-sized reunion on a different night than normal with approximately 100,000 viewers less than the week before. The season averaged 892,000 viewers and a .33 in the demographic. Now it’s a waiting game to see whether it will be renewed for season 2.
The Real Housewives of New York had an above average rated episode on June 29. It had 1.57 million viewers and a .5 in the demographic.
The return of the Real Housewives of Orange County saw 1.7 million viewers and the show’s second episode had 1.66 million. Their 18-49 demo rating thus far averages a .6. This is a very respectable return for the show, especially for any show in its eleventh season!
Southern Charm had part 1 of their reunion last week. That episode had 1.272 million viewers, approximately 50,000 more than their finale the week before.
Below Deck: Mediterranean continued to show its strength with 1,159,000 viewers and a .4 in the demo.
The biggest story in the week ahead when it comes to ratings is how the long-awaited return of the Real Housewives of New Jersey performs. It has been off the air for almost two years, aside from the low rated episodes that featured Teresa Giudice’s family dealing with her being away in prison. Will fans come flocking back or has it been too long? Stay tuned.
