Brendan Dassey Released From Prison?

Released From Jail Or Not?

Last year’s hit show on Netflix, Making A Murderer, put lots of questions in the minds of viewers regarding if Steven Avery and his nephew, Brendan Dassey, had been falsely convicted in the murder of Teresa Halbach. While there is a second season of the show currently underway (read about that here), news has broken today that Dassey was ordered to be released from prison, but now the Wisconsin Attorney General is seeking an emergency motion to stop his release. Brendan Dassey Prison Release Happening

According to court documents that have leaked on the internet, Dassey was ordered to be released today by a Wisconsin Judge as he awaits retrial for aiding in the murder of Halbach.

Stipulations of his release included that “Dassey shall not violate any laws, he must appear in court as required, he cannot have a gun or weapon, he cannot possess any controlled substances, and he cannot have contact with Steven Avery or the family of Teresa Halbach.”

However, after it was announced he would be leaving prison later today, it’s been reported by ABC’s WBAY that the Wisconsin Attorney General is appealing the decision.
