Abby Lee Miller and Cheryl Burke have been throwing shade at each other through press interviews for a few months now, but Miller got really defensive and feisty in her latest interview. As Dance Moms fans know, Burke recently replaced Miller on the hit Lifetime show when Miller decided to quit after seven seasons. The producers and cast have all shown their approval and support of Burke taking over the show, but Abby hasn’t been so happy.
In multiple interviews recently, Burke claimed that Miller traumatized the Dance Moms girls during the course of the show (read about that here). In an interview with US Weekly, Miller fired back at the pro dancer with her real and unfiltered response. “I think it’s a joke,” Miller stated. “In my studio, every single day, I had numerous producers, [choreographer] Gianna [Martello] and some type of child advocate service person who’s the tutor/social worker who is there, who watches … everything that’s said, everything that goes on. So, how could any traumatizing be going on? That’s ridiculous.”
Miller wrapped by saying, “I think that’s a really rough statement and I would never say that about Cheryl. I think she needs to watch her mouth.”
We aren’t really that surprised by Miller’s response and completely understand where both Burke and Miller are coming from with their responses.
