Rent’s 20th Anniversary Tour Returns To State Theatre

Rent is, inarguably, one of the greatest and most emotionally life changing Broadway shows ever created. Any time one gets to see the show is an opportunity they should never miss. While we’ve personally seen the show over 20 times in our lives, it never ceases to amaze us how we find a new life lesson each time we see it.

Residents of New Jersey are in luck, as Rent’s 20th Anniversary Tour- which is currently touring around the country- is returning to The State Theatre in New Brunswick for three performances next week.

Here is the press release from The State Theatre- make sure to check to Rent next week if you can:

RENT, the Pulitzer Prize®and Tony Award®—winning rock musical written by Jonathan Larson, is on the road again in a 20thAnniversary production. The show received its world premiere off-Broadway at New York Theatre Workshop on February 13, 1996 and transferred to Broadway on April 29, 1996. RENTis winner of the 1996 Tony Award®for Best Musical as well as the Pulitzer Prize®for Drama. It is one of only five musicals to win both awards.
